Continuing Education Credits

Continuing Education Credits will be available for both In-Person and Online attendees for IAQ & Energy 2019.

Specific credit information will be posted here once the details are finalized with the various accrediting bodies.  If you don't see here the credits you are looking for, please contact the MIAQC office at 207-626-8115.

Credit Applications for 2019

American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC) - Individuals with ACAC Certifications can self-report their credit hours to ACAC to meet their continuing education requirements.  Attendance at each workshop session provides 1.0 hours of credit. Submit your certificate of attendance to ACAC after the conference to obtain credit.

Credits valid for both in-person and live on-line streaming sessions

Architects (AIA) – Attendance on Day 1 - October 31 is approved for up to 6 credits.  Attendance on Day 2 - November 1 is approved for up to 5 credits. 

Credits available for in-person attendance ONLY.

Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) –  AEE does not pre-approve credits.  Candidates may submit their Certificate of Attendance to AEE for credit consideration.

American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) - Attendance on October 31 - Approved for 6 ASHI CEs.  Attendance on November 1 - Approved for 5 ASHI CEs.

Credits available for in-person attendance ONLY.

Attorneys:  Pending.  Credits available for in-person attendance ONLY.

Building Operator Certificants (BOC) – Building Operators Certification Maintenance:  BOC graduates receive one maintenance point for each hour of seminar time. They will just need to list the event and training summary on their Certification Maintenance application when they receive it next year. 

Credits available for in-person attendance, live on-line streaming sessions, as well as post-conference video recordings in 1.0 hour increments. 

Building Performance Institute  (BPI) – Approved for 1.0 credit per hour of attendance.  Day 1 - October 31 provides the opportunity for 6 credits and Day 2 - November 1 provides the opportunity for 5 credits.  A total of 11 credits for the 2 day conference.
Credits available for in-person and on-line attendance.  Additional credits available for post-conference video viewing as well.

Certified Energy Auditors –Sessions approved by BPI provide credit for certified energy auditors. See BPI.

Codes Enforcement Officers and Third Party Inspectors –  Day 1 - October 31 is approved for 6 credits.  Day 2 - November 1 is approved for 5 credits.

Engineers – Engineers, including P.E.’s, can self-report their credit hours.  Attendance on Day 1 - October 31 allows for 6 hours.  Attendance on Day 2 - November 1 allows for 5 hours.  A total of 11.0 credit hours are available for two-day attendance.

Credits are available for both in-person attendance and on-line live-streaming sessions. Credits are not available for post-conference video.

 

Home Inspectors – See ASHI above.

Industrial Hygienists – ABIH no longer requires pre-registration of programs.   For those tracking credit hours, Day 1, October 31 provides 6.0 credit hours, and Day 2, November 1 provides 5.0 credit hours for a total of 11.0 credit hours for two-day attendance.

IICRC Credits – Self-submit your Certificate of Attendance to renewals@iicrcnet.org for credit consideration.

PassiveHausUS (PHIUS) -  IAQ & Energy 2019 Conference on October 31-November 1, 2019, has been approved for up to 9.0 CPHC CEU. Attendance on Day 1 - October 31 is approved for 5 CPHC CEU.  Attendance on Day 2 - November 1 is approved for 4 CPHC CEU. Online Attendance is also approved.

Radon Professionals – Attendance on Day 1 - October 31 is approved for 3 radon credits.  Attendance on Day 2 - November 1 is approved for 2.5 radon credits

Real Estate Professionals - Attendance on Day 1 - October 31 is approved for 6 real estate credits.  Attendance on Day 2 - November 1 is approved for 5 real estate credits. Pre-approvals have been granted by the Maine Real Estate Commission.

Credits available for in-person attendance. 

USGBC – USGBC members can self-report “live presentation credit hours” for attendance at the conference.  Attendance on Day 1 - October 31 provides 6.0 USGBC credit hours, and Day 2 - November 1 provides 5 USGBC credit hours.

A total of 11.0 USGBC credits available for two-day attendance.

Credits are available for in-person attendance.
