Continuing Education Credits

Continuing Education Credits will be available for both In-Person and Online attendees for IAQ & Energy 2018.

Additional information will be posted here once the details are finalized with the various accrediting bodies.  If you don't see here the credits you are looking for, please contact the MIAQC office at 207-626-8115.

Credit Approvals for 2018

American Council for Accredited Certification: Individuals with ACAC Certifications can self-report their credit hours to ACAC to meet their continuing education requirements.  Attendance at each workshop session provides 1.0 hours of credit. Submit your certificate of attendance to ACAC after the conference to obtain credit.

Credits valid for both in-person and live on-line streaming sessions (VT/NH & MA rooms)

Architects (AIA) – AIA members have a total of 31 approved program credit options, with 6.0 credit hours available each day of the Conference.  Credits available for in-person attendance ONLY.

Association of Energy Engineers –  AEE does not pre-approve credits.  Candidates may submit their Certificate of Attendance to AEE for credit consideration.

American Society of Home Inspectors - Each day of the conference has been approved for 5.0 ASHI credits, for a total of 10.0 credits for two-day attendance.

Credits available for in-person attendance ONLY.

Attorneys:  5.5 MCLE credit hours are available per day, for a total of 11.0 hours for the full Conference. Program #46693.  Credits available for in-person attendance ONLY.

Building Operator Certificants (BOC): – Building Operators Certification Maintenance:  BOC graduates receive one maintenance point for each hour of seminar time. They will just need to list the event and training summary on their Certification Maintenance application when they receive it next year. Day 1 Seminar Day – 5.5 hrs     Day 2 Keynote/Workshop Day – 5.5 hrs

Credits available for in-person attendance, live on-line streaming sessions (VT/NH & MA Rooms), as well as post-conference video recordings in 1.0 hour increments. 

Building Performance Institute – All sessions at IAQ & Energy 2018 have been approved for BPI credit.  
Credits available for in-person attendance, live, on-line streaming sessions (VT/NH & MA Rooms), as well as post conference video recordings in 1.0 hour increments.

Certified Energy Auditors – Sessions approved by BPI provide credit for certified energy auditors.

Credits available for in-person attendance, live, on-line streaming sessions (VT/NH & MA Rooms), as well as post conference video recordings in 1.0 hour increment

Codes Enforcement Officers and Third Party Inspectors –  About half of the sessions at IAQ & Energy have been approved for CEO and TPI credit for both in-person and online registratrants.  We are working to get additional sessions approved.  If you need to know which sessions carry credit and which don't, contact Alison Caulfield at 207-400-1079. 

College Credit Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) – The University of Maine has approved .1 CEU for each session attended for both in-person and online registrants, for a total of .5 CEUs per day.

Engineers – Engineers, including P.E.’s, can self-report their credit hours.  A total of 5.5 hours is available for each day of attendance, for a total of 11.0 credits for both days.

Credits are available for both in-person attendance and on-line live-streaming sessions (VT/NH & MA Rooms).  Credits are not available for post-conference video.

 

Home Inspectors – See ASHI above.

Industrial Hygienists – ABIH no longer requires pre-registration of programs.   For those tracking credit hours, each day of the conference provides 5.5 credit hours, for a total of 11.0 credit hours for two-day attendance.

Credits are available for both in-person attendance and on-line live-streaming sessions (VT/NH & MA Rooms). 

IICRC Credits – 5.5 hours of credit are available each day, for a total of 11.0 hours for the full conference.  Credits available for in-person attendance ONLY.

PassiveHausUS (PHIUS) - Each day of the conference is approved for 6.0 CPHC CEUs, for a total of 12.0 hours of credit for the full conference.  

Credits available for both in-person and online attendance. 

Pesticide Applicators – pending.

Radon Professionals – For in-person attendees, registered Maine radon professionals can obtain 4.0 continuing education credits for each day of the conference, for a total of 8.0 credits for two day attendance.  For on-line live-streaming attendees,  registered Maine radon professionals can obtain 2.75 credits for each day of the conference, for a total of 5.5 credits for two-day attendance. 

Real Estate Professionals - the Maine Department of Professional and Financial Regulation has approved IAQ & Energy for 5.0 credits per day, for a total of 11.0 credits for the two day conference.

Credits available for in-person attendance.  On-line, live-streaming pending.

USGBC – USGBC members can self-report “live presentation credit hours” for attendance at the conference.  individual day attendance provides 6.0 USGBC credit hours, for a total of 12.0 USGBC credits available for two-day attendance.
