Pathogen Disinfection and Particulate Control

A Reviveaire Sponsor Session

Presented by:

Nick Agopian, President
Reviveaire -

About this program:

This pre-recorded sponsor session features Nick Agopian, president of Reviveaire, discussing a variety of strategies to address the health risks of airborne pathogens and the strategies to protect occupants from exposure.

Session Highlights

1) Exploration of a critical issue that affects the health, performance, and efficiency of indoor environments, and the growing impact of airborne pathogens, ultrafine particles, and biofilm formation within HVAC systems. These challenges not only compromise indoor air quality but also reduce cooling capacity, increase operational costs, and hinder energy efficiency.

2) How ASHRAE is focusing on occupant indoor health, and how particles and pathogens impact us. It touches on ASHRAE’s new 241 standards, and compares the benefits of various technologies, such as UV light, HEPA filtration, and ionization solutions, and true confined plasma technology highlighting its superior energy efficiency, sustainability, and payback potential.

3) Introduction to the Reviveaire Aireshield, a breakthrough in non-thermal plasma disinfection technology. Unlike traditional solutions, Aireshield addresses these problems holistically, offering unparalleled benefits in pathogen control, ultrafine particle elimination, and prevention of biofilm formation, all without the use of consumables or generating harmful byproducts.

By the end of this presentation, you'll learn more about the direction of standards organization focus on health, how and why they affect us, and finally understand the differences of various technologies.
